Corporate Responsibility

JD Mc Geown embraces its corporate responsibility by ensuring its business activities are conducted in such a way as to be safe, socially accountable and regardful of the environment.

Our key business objectives are fulfilled by implementing our policies on the environment, health and safety and quality. We deploy a programme of continuous improvement and evaluate performance against targets.

JD Mc Geown has a long standing tradition of charitable contribution to those in most need and our support has gone to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society and Friends of Cancer. We also encourage our employees to get actively involved with charitable organisation and we have supported Marie Curie Cancer, Tiny Life, Afghan Heroes and the Northern Ireland Hospice.

We work with organisations such as the Employability Services for Young People in Care where we aim to give young, disadvantaged people the opportunity of entering the job arena.

We are committed to exploring the talents of young apprentices who show dedication and enthusiasm and we were awarded a place on the Belfast Telegraph roll of honour when we pledged support to the 100 Jobs in 100 days campaign by offering apprenticeships to 3 newly qualified students.
